Page 4 action abounds! At first I was hesitant to draw the Thri... uh, I mean Bug Guy, but he's grown on me. Well that's all for today folks, comeback next week as the ass-kicking continues. Hopefully sometime this year I'll be able to make my big announcement, but till then adieu.
Ral, none of this would have happened if you weren't a squishy d-bag mage who steals your comrades most treasured possesions. So whats next you ask? Hopefully you getting your half elf ass handed to you on a shiny silver platter with a side of french fries.
this pages seems like EFlint was listening to me about spreading the religion of no-pants but i have to agree Crzmnky666 i hope Ral gets his stuck up ass kicked for jacking Loths stuff, thats still ticking me off
It's not Ral's fault! When they first met, he didn't know if she was an NPC or not. If she was, her belongings, by rights, were his. Now it is too awkward to give them back. Poor guy.
Again, pulling enemies out of nowhere. You might as well just have them stumble into a dragon's lair, located right next to the witch's castle, which was on the other side of the street of the ghost-infested haunted house.
I know you want to make a good comic, but despite the good art, every step taken has been the wrong one!
It only gets 10,000 or so views because of advertising when you click on links of more popular comics. Sorry to say that, but it is true. That is how I found this comic, for example. It sometimes links when one votes for Goblins.
You know a very good comic, though? Dragonet. It is black and white and made by just one person, but it updates 3 times a week and while it has a much weaker story than OOTS or Goblins, it is much stronger than the random events shown here.
It is also about a young dragon female, but of a much younger age so far.
Also, @guest: Being a massive douche is not "constructive criticism" by anybody's standards. We happen to like this comic, and I don't see you putting forward any art yourself, so maybe keep your vitriol to yourself, yeah?
We don't delete comments because that would be censorship, and both the artist and I are against that.
The fact he took the time to comment means he cares enough to comment. And as the old saying goes "haters gonna hate."
The internet is filled with people like this trying to incite rage. Let him do his worst. See even if he goes to another few dozen comics and says "Loth Online Sucks" someone is going to be like... what's this lothonline and go check it out. Some may dislike it and never come again, others may stay and read.
All I care about is that the people who like it, like it and support us. At the end of the day that's the thing that makes the artist and I do this webcomic.
I just came across this comic today. I powered through every page up until now, and I just want to tell the writer(s?) that a new reader has been hooked. I love this comic and I'm glad to see that it's been around for 2 years. I hope it'll be around for much longer. :D
@mirlinthloth Well said censorship is bad free speach and all and yeah it appears to me that one douche bag's opinion even if it is alousy one is drowned out by the rest of us whom truely love the world you two have created and how much you wanna bet that the gentlemen that does Dragonet has an ulcer the size of Kentucky and is a giant ball of stress cuz he has to keep his page buffer several months ahead in case he get sick or has somthing come up
and while working alone is nice once in a while but a comic is a living breathing creature it feeds off the ideas and imaginations of those whom create it ant the many whom read it now to many of those on either side ofthe the plate it becomes this huge unwieldy beast that you can't manage and it slowly dies and too few imaginations and ideas and it starves and it stagnates sepcialy when the creator gets a bad case of writers block and not knowing where to take the story or art next, and im happy with the once aweek cuz i get some great convo's with the other readers and you the creators.
So go for Mirlinthloth and Eflint Create and a Rich and wonderful story and some great and beautiful art cuz it makes me happy when you do
I will point out that if only "nice" comments were allowed, there would be no criticism at all. Want some constructive advice? Cut the stereotypes, develop the characters, don't have random enemies fall out of nowhere, whatever you are doing to keep the artist working on this, keep it up, because he's the only thing keeping this comic watchable.
Personally, I love this comic, and I honestly don't see anything wrong with the way it's written or drawn.
Also, EvilGuest, please don't repeat yourself. Even if your point was constructive critisism, you're coming dangerously close to being a pest.
@ EvilGuest there are alot nicer ways of putting things its called being tactful which you are sorely lacking in there is constructive critisism which is saying "Hey this is what I saw that you could improve upon and this is one way to do it." that is constructive Critisism
Now what you are offering is the exact opposite you are saying is this, this and this sucks and I hate it and I like this guy way better you should copy him, that sir is not constructive critisism that is just being straight up rude and hatful, and while I'll stand up for your right to free speech and will defend that right to the death I do not agree with you one bit and feel you should probly just shut up, Because in all liklyhood you are not brave enough say any of what you said to the artists or writters face.
@Eflint and Mirlinthloth I'm sorry if any any other this offends you
If I could say it to their faces, I would in an instant, but that isn't an option, you know. Internet and all. XD
I will say that the creators themselves seem less offended than some of the readers. They are able to take criticism in stride, and I did mention that the artwork is good.
The bottom line is, the comic has potential. It is unrealized and may never be if things don't improve, but it can improve. I wouldn't bother to comment if I thought it was a lost case.
The comic is still young you must give it time to develop it's story. The story itself is not so much weak as an unknown quantity there is much about the world setting we are not introduced to yet and must trust that the creators have already fleshed out for the future.
The characters are indeed weak but are already showing some development and will likely be just peachy as time goes by.
That being said this is a Decompressed Story comic and therefore it will take longer for said story to reach potential.
Actually I think I'm saying a lot of what you mean just in a (more or less) nicer way.
loth has no pants
