Guest called it! And is the blue lady mottled or is that just shadow?
Guest Thursday, the 7th of October at 8:44 PM, 2010 edit delete reply
Hmm. They all have different horns, faces, and other such features. I wonder if they all have hands, feet, and tails like Loth.
greenimp Thursday, the 7th of October at 10:36 PM, 2010 edit delete reply
I'm thinking Saphael and blue-pants mcgee are the same race as Loth, wheras Kcalse is a different race.

That three-pixels high font is really hard to read ...

I hesitate to answer these questions since we had such a great discussion last week but I don't want to leave you guys in the dark to long.

ANSWERS!!!

I don't think her name comes up at any point but the blue ladies name is Ingyd. And yes, when Saphael, Ingyd, and a few others are in these form, they have feet and tails like Loth. Kcalse is a Kobold. And the small hard to read words are just supposed to be "noise", since Saphael is only half listing to him. If you really want to know I just pulled a bunch of blurbs from school reform websites.

I like the implication of different forms for these shinily mysterious characters.
David Niceguy Friday, the 8th of October at 6:28 AM, 2010 edit delete reply
I wonder who the "few others" are. And also kclashe looks like the the little lizard kid in loths flash back/day dream thing.
holden Friday, the 8th of October at 10:07 AM, 2010 edit delete reply
so what do you think of my villan theory now. also arn't kobolds german nomes?, and to everyones els remeber the character pages on the old sight that talked about loths kind and how the are all half drogons but from diforent dragon speciese.
greenimp Friday, the 8th of October at 11:27 AM, 2010 edit delete reply
I maintain they're more neutral than evil though, and probably lawful because Saphael is a member of the council correct me if I'm wrong.
comichero Friday, the 8th of October at 11:39 AM, 2010 edit delete reply
well holden the only place i have encounted kolbolds are in D&D games adn they have a tiny tiny bit of dragon blood int hem but they are closer in kin to the lizardmen of D&D so it would make sence that dragons or even half dragons would have them as servants as they make excellant gophers adn the smarter ones basicly the shamas make for good assitants i re call on kolbold from NWN that was actualy capable of coeherant speach in the common tongue and was respected enough that he could actualy travel in to human cities and sell his wears and the books he wrote but it would seem loths actions in awakening that dead elf warroir and its subsequent re-death at the hands of our hot monk with her fists of fury seems to have some far reaching side effects
holden Monday, the 11th of October at 4:21 PM, 2010 edit delete reply
well koldbold means nome in german and if you play seacred 2 fallen angel you com across alot of them
holden Monday, the 11th of October at 4:23 PM, 2010 edit delete reply
just becuase he's on the council dosn't mean he is lawful. he could be a black sheep.
greenimp Monday, the 11th of October at 7:04 PM, 2010 edit delete reply
To be a ruler you really do need to be lawful. Neutral indicates a lack of care and chaotic represents the embrace of "everymanforthemselfism" To rule with any degree of efficiency outside, perhaps, a rather poor bandit camp one must institute laws/rituals/customs to control the populace and reaffirm oneself as the ultimate authority.

Well the little green dude said something about students, that doesn't sound evil to me.

I guess at this time I should mention that we put the cast page back up under extra. And also, feel free to look back at the beginning of the comic when Saphael sends Loth on her quest.

awsome!
comichero Wednesday, the 13th of October at 7:23 PM, 2010 edit delete reply
you make a valid point Holden i would wager it all depends on what mytho's Loth's world operates or if its an immalgium of diffrent mytho's but taking the general look of Loth's Kobold im going to say that they are playing by D&D rules here Also GreenImp you could be lawful nuetral meaning you capable of great acts of good as well as great act of evil particualry ideal for a feared adn respected ruler but true nuetral means you stay out of the politics and intriuges of the world and are only act if the stiuation directly effects you and yours most druids are true nuetral only taking action when it absolutely nessary

I'm not... entirely sure of your point there man.
that one guy Thursday, the 14th of October at 3:42 AM, 2010 edit delete reply
I thought the art guy said it was based on underground lairs and big scaled lizards that occasionally breath fire not D&D.

Ive had the alignment discussion with my gaming group before. I always took a slightly different view of alignments than most people. LAWFUL is of course law, order, rule, etc. CHAOTIC I didn't interpret as unpredictable chaos as most have, but an actual Anti-Law, anarchist view. Both positions, while opposed are completely predictable in how they approach things. The only truly unpredictable alignment (in my opinion) is TRUE NEUTRAL. This alignment can do GOOD or EVIL following LAWFUL or CHAOTIC means to achieve their goal.
But that is just my two cents worth.
BTW loving the new intrigue angle.

"The seal is weakening!" Are we talking about a jinchuuriki (SEE: "Naruto") or something? Because that would be cool. ;)

Love the Naruto joke, chumash.

@Chumash99, Well to be honest a seal weakening has been in use in stories, poems, ballads, sagas and edda's since the birth of man. It's a well recognized literary device at this point and is taken with a grain of salt.
But yeah... I suppose if you wanted to you could see Naruto, Bleach, Yu Yu Hakisho, Record of the Loddoss Wars, El~Hazard and countless other anime that use the words Seal.
