You got the TWC image to update at midnight! How'd you manage that?

"Nooooooooooo!" Ha! Always a classic villain exit line :)
Guesticus Tuesday, the 31st of December at 8:59 AM, 2013 edit delete reply
No, the classic villain exit line is: "You haven't seen the last of me!!" (followed closely by Team Rocket's line when they inevitably get blown up and are seen disappearing into the future episode)
Ed8 Tuesday, the 31st of December at 7:52 PM, 2013 edit delete reply
I only said it was "a" classic villain exit line, not necessarily "the" classic villain exit line. I'm sure we could come up with a good list of them, but "Noooooo" has got to be up there somewhere near the top.

Thought that was just what the hero said when they found out their parent wasn't killed by a homocidal cyborg, but actually _was_ the homocidal cyborg?

Rock on, Ral!

I hope this one wouldn't survive.
Guesticus Tuesday, the 31st of December at 9:03 AM, 2013 edit delete reply
That's one thing hope never changes about Ral: always polite
Guesticus Tuesday, the 31st of December at 9:10 AM, 2013 edit delete reply
One question: did Ral wait until the mountain was in the circle before fully activating it? Or did it only affect the mountain once the mountain entered the circle? Asking because last page (when the circle encircled Harpydies {and lets hope she lives up to her ill-conceived name}) the mountain was yet to reach the circle

Wait a minute! Ok, so Old Lady Meanie is now buried under a mountain of her own creation, but Teufel said Ral would lose to old magic. Does that mean...he...isn't going to survive his injuries?!?!? T_T
Onitori Tuesday, the 31st of December at 11:44 AM, 2013 edit delete reply
"I'm sorry...
but the old magic will claim him."

Him losing may not be the only interpretation.
RobK Tuesday, the 31st of December at 1:40 PM, 2013 edit delete reply
'The old magic wil claim him'
Notice how did said nothing about the current fight he is in

Also I think the seer is one of the bad guys. So is misinforming people to stay ahead.

Remember when reading fortunes, date, time, future tense, past tense, and immediate are almost never defined. So in 2,000 years he dies. Never was the outcome if the contest the question answered, just his survival in general.
Ed8 Tuesday, the 31st of December at 7:54 PM, 2013 edit delete reply
Perhaps, but that was clearly the question Cerene was asking. If nothing more happens to Ral in this contest, Teufel may want to avoid Cerene for the next thousand years or so to avoid getting an magical elven ass-kicking.

MrTTAO Tuesday, the 31st of December at 6:32 PM, 2013 edit delete reply
wow, a karmic death.

wait, since when is he such a pacifist?
Ed8 Tuesday, the 31st of December at 7:47 PM, 2013 edit delete reply
I don't think he's a pacifist, he just doesn't like the idea of having to kill just to win a competition.

My best guess:

Cade: Just wants to get along. Will only kill if there is no other choice available to him, though I could see him going all Vengeance if someone he cared about was murdered.

Ral: Finds killing distasteful and would prefer to avoid it, but would do it if he felt it needed to be done, or in great anger, but would regret it later, and mope about it incessantly.

Kinuko: Would never kill out of anger, but only if it was on the "path" she felt she was destined to follow, whatever that means.

Sevi: Meh, if you didn't want to get killed, you shouldn't have tried to fight her, but if you have the good sense to run away she probably will lose interest. May also try to kill you if you tell her that her butt looks huge in those pants. (I think your butt looks great in those pants, Sevi.)

Loth: Will kill for competition. Will kill in battle. Will kill out of anger. Will kill for honor. Will kill for practice. Will kill if bored and nothing else to do. May try to kill me for writing this post. Has she not killed anyone today? Must be feeling ill.
MrTTAO Sunday, the 5th of January at 4:45 AM, 2014 edit delete reply
But she made it clear that she isn't trying to win a competition, but rather is testing her powers as well as revealing them to the world and start a war and some genocide.
Not to mention vowing to murder him personally due to who his master is.
And she even nearly kills her own underlings to feed on their power.

She is a classic BBEG
