So remember when Cade made that off hand comment about the guys headband like 200 pages ago? It was all to set up this moment. I will say the fight is almost over, but do you really think Neph will go quietly? TWC image, Neph relaxing on a beach because reason. Also, for the people that haven't seen the Bookface, We want to do another Cast Interview page. So please submit question to the "actors" of the comic at the Bookface. We're using the Facebook so that people can use the Like button to upvote questions. We will only take questions asked on the Facebook. We'll probably get a shit turn out, in which case I'll just make up some questions of my own.

think i found a typo (sorry to be that guy). cade in the last panel says "Modsef". isn't it supposed to be "mosdef"?
EFlint Friday, the 6th of September at 8:53 AM, 2013 edit delete reply
EFlint
Modsef is the name of the city in Ch. 7, where they first meet Lord Prasátko. Mos Def is a American actor and hip hop recording artist.

When would it ever not be capitalized? Either the city or the person's name would still be capitalized - is there a third meaning that wouldn't?

Hmm, how many did he steal?

He was WORRIED he hit her? Why?
Nutster Friday, the 6th of September at 5:44 AM, 2013 edit delete reply

Because guns are lethal if they hit somebody. Mind you, arrows can be as well, but she is good enough only to wound.
Kaian Friday, the 6th of September at 6:12 AM, 2013 edit delete reply
Because he wants to go out with her?
RobK Friday, the 6th of September at 6:51 AM, 2013 edit delete reply
Duh. She's a hot woman
Agent 86 Friday, the 6th of September at 10:28 PM, 2013 edit delete reply
Because at heart Cade is a Lover, not a Fighter. Loth on the other hand, would have aimed for the head or the heart.

Because unless she is really into pain wounding her would not be a turn on. Cade is still clinging to the fantasy he can turn this into after fight sex. :P

Case is a hopeless romantic; operative word being "hopeless". :D

No, I think he intended to say that he was worried he WOULD hit her.
Grammaticus Maxmimus Saturday, the 7th of September at 4:20 PM, 2013 edit delete reply
While Cade's grammar is technically incorrect, many if not most people speak like that - correctly, he was "worried that he had hit her" but the additional words are implied in common speech (and Cade's probably in a hurry as it is). Technically, your correction "worried he WOULD hit her" should only be used before he fires. After he fires, he's "worried he WOULD HAVE hit her" since it is a past and no longer a potential event.

"Seemingly from nowhere..." Does Tentacles not know about Cade's Happy Sack?

Why would he? Even in this fantasy world, tame Mimics that act as convenient hammerspace are probably not particularly common. I think the author even mentioned at some point in the past that Mimics in this world, as in most fantasy worlds, are almost universally hostile and this one's behavior was unique.

Woo! Finally CADE does something right!

I'd laugh so hard if she just started using her wind powers to launch the arrows since her bow is broken.
Prof Monday, the 9th of September at 9:08 PM, 2013 edit delete reply
Moving an arrow side-to-side or up-and-down with wind is easy since the arrow has a large cross-section when viewed from the side. An arrow has a very tiny cross section when viewed from the front or back. If she can produce enough air pressure to propel an arrow forward at high speed, then she could just forget about the arrows and kill him with the wind (which she might very well do, for all I know)

He didn't get much practice (I mean, it's not like he can buy bullets just anywhere...), but still manages to whip out his gun and hit a half-inch target from ~40 ft away.

I would call bullshit, but that's not really pushing the boundary when a half-dozen arrows barely slows you down--I mean, what weak penetration! GAAAHH!!!
...can you tell I just don't like this character much?
