So originally Alluria wasn't going to survive this fight, but people seem to like her, so maybe a rewrite is in order. Come back Tuesday to find out! TWC image is Loth in one of her old outfits (wink).

I also picked up the vibe that she wasn't supposed to survive. But I kinda get the impression that--with the damage she needs to sustain in order for her to be taken out of the plot like death--she'll be bad enough off that she might as well be dead. :P

Hence the expression 'In your face'. Don't get all steamed up about the fight,Alluria. :D

Her arrogance and condescending attitude towards others she feels are beneath her should seal her fate. Loth shouldn't be so forgiving. Let her die. But then you have the issue with the child. Hmmm

No, it's Frosty who's the MILF, Alluria is with Fire

And so we witness the birth of a new Joker.

More like, Two-Face

In my opinion, if she wasn't supposed to survive it, she's not supposed to survive it no matter what everyone thinks.

Hope she is not too badly damaged (being 'Lobster-face' for a couple months should be enough, right?)

This is the time I've felt the need to post, despite having been a reader for some time.

In general I really think you should stick to your guns. If you planned on her death as part of the plot then stick to it. Don't undermine your story to placate people. Sometimes the awesome character dies.

That said, do what YOU want with it. It's your story.

The only reason she was/is going to die was because the whole team (save one) are tertiary characters. We didn't think anybody would care about them.

This must be a pleasant surprise for you then. She is kinda hot, and I like her character so it would be a shame to kill her off. Wouldn't mind seeing her again later in the series but if you don't have anything planned for her afterwards, that's fine too.

Also, what is Alluria anyways?

The one thing the Artist and I have always been clear on is that we have a story and we're going to tell it.
That said Eric's right. This gang, excluding for Tina's mom, were all supposed to be unimportant.

We'll probably keep with them being alive since they've got no value dead or alive and I see no reason to change panels that are already drawn out.

It always pleases me to see that people take a liking to random characters. I still get a lot of emails about the blue and green Treori and how they want them to appear more.

It's hard enough to get people to really care about main characters - if you can get people to care that much about bit characters who have only been around for a few weeks, that's pretty darn impressive!

Traditionally, though, the horribly facially disfigured character returns later for revenge wearing a creepy mask, and you've already got creepy-mask-guy. Teufel's going to be jealous if someone else infringes on his trademark!

Of course, face full of steam and inhale big to scream, she might not be in all that great of shape anyway

Just noticed: the referee is holding some of his(?) tentacles up to his eyes, either to protect them from the steam or from Alluria's face (must be bad if even a Beholder covers its eye)
MidnightDStroyer Saturday, the 15th of June at 1:46 PM, 2013 edit delete reply
Okay, so you decided to let Alluria live through that...But you made certain it wouldn't be unscathed.

I also notice that this comic is depicted in an age when plastic surgery doesn't exist...

Guest is right. There is Magic in this world, but don't forget that the magic council told us Magic is waning.

See Page 6 & 34 of Chapter 10.
