Hey it's the Terra and Rudger, maybe they'll all sit down, have lunch and talk out their problems! ha ha. no.

TWC image I get a little perspective practice with Loth.

First they run into they guy from Biedeb while walking by an open window, who just happens to be the brother of the guy they're looking for anyway, and then these guys just stumble across them in the street - The "hand of fate" really doesn't ever just give our heroes a gentle nudge, does it? It likes to slap them in the face, punch them in the gut, and then rudely shove them in the direction it wants them to go.

That's true to a lesser extent, but if you go and look carefully at the time Piglet first shows up we were hinting at this back then. He's from Modsef by the way.

We knew we were going to have several minor characters intersect with our heroes at one point and that's this point.

Mosdef/Biedeb - I'[m not the only one that gets those two towns confused! (and, unlike Cade, I've never actually been there, so I have a better excuse)

(I wasn't meaning to be critical - if fate was subtle, we'd be waiting forever for stuff to happen!)

No, that's fine. It's just a lot of people will say "Oh how droll you're following this stereotype. can't you be original for a change?"
I still maintain that all you can do is put your own individual spin on a story at some point or another SOME stereotype will appear in your story.

I wasn't implying at all that it was a stereotype, I meant it more as an observation like "Ha! That's the kind of thing that happens to these guys!". As tvtropes.org would point out, tropes aren't necessarily cliches, and they're not a bad thing - you can't tell a story without them. As a matter of fact, I'm tempted to go to tvtropes.org, find this trope, and post it as an example (link=more traffic, right?), but if I go there, I'll be stuck reading for the next 6 hours - it does that to you, you can't escape it....

True, I spent about 4 hours there a few weeks ago just browsing through them all thanks to DragonForce (Video Game).

There literally are tons of them.
