Oh those old Half-Dragon/Treori people, all they do is sit around and talk politics. TWC image is Loth. Standing.

Is she saying that the Treori have slaves? (that being the reason the Crobees won't deal with them ) That's going to make me start disliking them. I hope Loth doesn't approve of that kind of crap!

That's what she's saying, but there are several countries that have slaves. Minios & Lukke notably.
Muinodepa has indentured servants, basically slaves.
Tikgh has serfs.
Crobee, being founded by escaped slaves, doesn't tolerate any form of slavery.

I suppose I should have realized slavery is common in this world - otherwise Loth wouldn't have posed as a slave girl to get out of town back in Chapter 4, and how could I forget the Princess-Leia-Slavegirl outfit?! :)

Also Loth and Co. are on a mission to save Ral's sister from slavers too.

That did occur to me, but I somehow got the impression that was not state-sponsored slavery - more "freelance" type of slavers like Galian. I'm not sure why I thought that.

Well to be fair certain areas are against slavery. But in the case of the folks in Lukke (Bidebi) anything non human isn't actually entitled to the rights they have in their religious state, so it's ok.
In Muinodepa you can be sold into servitude to pay off family debts, some of these spanning generations, and it's all legal.
And Tikgh has huge swaths of land that the relatively minor amount of people need to have worked on. So the family gets tied to the land and traded back and forth as needed.
I tried to keep some aspects of this as close to human history as possible. Mostly the political aspects and all that that entailed.

Any plans to post that sexy white countess anytime soon? I wouldn't mind seeing her nude if possible.

Sure, she can be the Tuesday TWC image. At least she's easy to color

Isn't she a Lich? Hmmm....is it considered necrophilia if they are undead?

I notice Lady Yatreth has what I can best describe as a "white thing" behind her. The rippling of it would imply that it is a cloak, but it is set high enough to be a chair. Is it a Minios fashion statement or a place to sit?

This is actually one of the many tributes we've put into the comic.

Yatreth's cloak is similar to some of the cloaks you see in an old Sega Saturn video game, Dragon Force. Queen Teiris has a cloak very similar to that, and she's the queen of the elves.

Yeah it's a cloak that floats like half a foot behind her. Also if you can get a copy of Dragon Force it's a fun game. It's like Ogre Battle, but good.

I have no pithy remark on this... they're both good.
