More talky talk. I'm not a 100% sure if we've mentioned the Coalition before, but doesn't matter now. The TWC image is Loth in one of those 80's huge neck sweaters. I feel like I'm forgetting to mention something. Oh well.

He is going to a nation who is "defending the world from elves" and going to talk to an elf slave trader?
With his ears?

No there's differences between the Empire, which is where they're going, and the Coalition who have set themselves up to protect from further Treori & Elven aggressions.

Presumably, when dealing with the Elf Slave trader he could use his previously demonstrated talent for magical illusion and disguise himself as something other than an elf (or half elf).

I don't think the absence of a previous mention of the Coalition is necessarily a negative implication on the comic by any stretch of the imagination. We didn't necessarily learn of the Hierarchy of the Empire in Star Wars until Empire Strikes Back. We didn't learn the specifics of galactic politics until even later (or earlier) in the prequels. My point is not to reveal too much to the reader at once.

"It was just a collection of squabbling fiefdoms the emperor merged it into one nation."

Either this needs an "until" after "fiefdoms" or this sentence needs broken up into two with a period in that same place. Or taking out that second "it" could work too. I'm going with missing "until".

Cade probably has as little interest in politics as his lovely teammates, but I see he is already familiar with anything that involves a month-long citywide festival (He's even got a prop handy!) Can we safely assume, based on Cade's interest, that this festival involves some drunkeness, debauchery, and more than a few loose women?

If it doesn't it will when Cade gets there.
